Remove the filter from the spa and rinse it with a spray hose.
Add two capfuls of Spa Marvel Filter Cleaner up to 20 liters (5 gallons) of fresh water to a bucket and stir to dissolve.
Soak the filter overnight in the solution.
After dipping the filter in the hot tub filter cleaner, it is essential that debris is carefully removed from the creases of the filters. The water pressure from showers and kitchen sinks is often not strong enough to remove debris. If, after rinsing your filters, there is still discoloration in the creases of the filters or if they still smell, then they are not clean. Many people use a pressure washer (gently and carefully) to quickly and effectively remove debris after soaking the filter. If you don’t have access to a pressure washer, a car wash sprayer works fine. Most reusable spa filters need to be replaced after 6 months of use.A thorough rinse of the filter once a week, with a proper full monthly clean using the Marvel Spa Filter Cleaner, will suffice for the majority of spa users. Keep in mind that the filter removes anything that is put in the hot tub and it only takes one bather covered in body lotion to clog a clean filter.
