How to measure your spa cover

Take measurements

(length and width)

To measure your spa, place your measuring gallon lengthwise and then widthwise, starting from the center and moving to the other end, as shown in the two photos.

You must place your measuring gallon outside the lip of the spa (start of the acrylic) and stop measuring at the end of the opposite lip (end of the acrylic).

Measure your radius

What is the radius: This is the measurement of the corner of your spa. Each spa brand and model may have a different radius. There are two options for measuring it. Choose the option that is simplest and most effective for you.

Option 1: Using a carpenter’s square

This method is very simple: just take a square and press it against the outer corner of the spa. When the square touches the spa, the radius will be defined in inches on the square where there is contact.

To fully understand the radius, you can refer to the photo below. You can now see how to position your square in relation to your spa. In the photo, the radius of the spa is 6 inches.

Option 2: Using our template

If you don’t have a square, you can measure your radius using our template. Simply print it out (you’ll find it on the next page) and cut it to size until the curve of your spa matches the printed curve.

FAQ

The “radius” of a spa cover refers to the size of the spa, especially if it is round or has rounded corners. When purchasing a cover online, it is important to know the radius of the corners (whether your spa is round or has rounded corners) to ensure that the cover will fit properly.

In most cases, for a rectangular or square spa, you should check the length and width of the spa.

If your spa is round, the radius is the distance from the center of the spa to its edge. If your spa has rounded corners, the radius of the corners must be specified so that the cover fits the entire surface properly.

No.

A thermal seal for a spa cover is a strip of insulating material that is placed around the edge of the cover to improve watertightness and heat retention.

Here is its main role:

Insulation: It prevents heat from escaping from the spa, which keeps the water warm longer and reduces energy consumption.

Waterproofing: It helps prevent cold air or moisture from entering under the cover, protecting the water and interior of the spa from the elements. energy.

The thermal seal is often made of foam or rubber and is placed around the edge of the lid to ensure a good seal.
